Tracking logs
Fitness Awards: Gold, Silver, Participant
- Gold Award: A student who tests at the 85th percentile on a particular test will receive GOLD for that test. To receive the GOLDEN FITNESS award, the participant must score GOLD on ALL FIVE of the fitness test performed.
- Silver Award: A student who tests at the 50th percentile on a particular test will receive SILVER for that test. To receive the SILVER FITNESS award, the participant must score ALL SILVER or a combination of GOLD and SILVER on ALL FIVE fitness tests.
- Participant Award: A student who test below the 50th percentile on any test will receive the PARTICIPATION AWARD. Even if the participant scored GOLD on 4 tests and PARTICIPATION on 1 test, that participant would still receive the participation award.
Using the tracking log:
The tracking log may seem complicated but I assure you it is easier to use than it appears. Fitness testing is not tracked by grade but is tracked by AGE of the participant. Males and Females also have different qualifying standards. The current log I created (each for males and females) compiles all of the standards for ages 6-12 on one document.
Using the tracking log: Complete the desired fitness test and record the score in the appropriate box based upon the participants age. Below the box you will see the qualifying standards for GOLD and SILVER. If your participant qualified for GOLD, you would simply circle G. If your participant scored between Gold and SILVER, you would circle S. If your participants score is less than what SILVER indicates, simply do not circle anything.
